I purchased some of the excellent houses from www.4Ground.co.uk a while ago and finally got around to building the kits. I decided to add to them by giving them front and rear gardens and a base.
I noticed on a couple of the other blogs the guys were using old paintbrushes with the bristles removed and then using these as brick stamps pressing the empty metal into the high density foam. This is what I have done on the rear garden walls.
I will let the pictures do the talking.
And a few staged action shots to finish.
It works very well, duly noted. Thanks Pat.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Every time you post pics all i can think is ''wow i want to play on that''

ReplyDeleteAll i can say WOW!!! Great work...
ReplyDeleteAmazing looking terrain! And a great tip for making the walls
ReplyDeleteI tired that tip before but without much success. I will have to give it another go. Great results here Pat, very impressive in fact!
ReplyDeleteExcellent work! Where did you get the iron fences?
ReplyDeleteThanks chaps.
DeleteLeif, the iron fence came as extra with some Tamiya road signs I bought off ebay. I have just googled the railings and 1/35 scale metal fence by Mini Art look like they are the same item but can't be 100% sure. 1/35 is obviously a lot bigger scale but if you look at my pictures the railing is a lot bigger than the 28mm figure stood next to it and it seems to work.
Stunning work Pat !, realy like the look of the houses on your base, get them look even better ! Very nice to see the reed briiks that tie the houses and tour base together.
