SETTING THE SCENE terrain book

WIP Terrain & Vehicles.

A little update of what I am working on at the moment.

I have put together a row of houses from 4Ground and decided I needed to put these on a base. I will probably do the same for some of my other buildings as I think it finishes them off and helps to set the scene.

Also working on some slit trenches for Chain of Command and repairing and upgrading a couple of Grand Manner trenches.

Priming some die cast vehicles to use for my WW2 Russians.

As the heading mentions, these are just work in progress and I will submit a full post for each as and when they are finished.

Cheers,
Pat.

  6. Nice work Pat. Where are the railings from? I could use them in my Victorian cityscape...

    1. Scott, I actually thought of yours and Michael Awdry's blog when I was putting the railings in, perfect for the Victorian period.
I purchased the railings off ebay which came extra with a Tamiya 1/48 road sign set. They are plastic and at a guess I would say the railings are Tamiya as well.

    Scale of the trucks?

    1. Michael, the trucks are die cast 'Lledo' 'Days gone' which you can pick up off ebay for £1 plus postage. They are just slightly on the small size, probably about 1/60 scale. They work well with Perry WW2 but I hope to get away with using Warlord plastic Russian figures mounted in the back.

    1. Jay, the posts I have just carved out of pink polystyrene foam, see the big sheet in the background of picture three. The metal fences are plastic 1/48, Tamiya I think.

  11. Absolutely brilliant sir. How did you do the stonework effect on the foam?

    1. Hi Michael,
I pinched the stonework effect off one of the other blogs. Using the metal end of a paintbrush with the hairs removed and then pressing this into the foam to make the impression of stone. All will be revealed in more detail in a future post.
