The MDF buildings in this post are from Sarissa, Colin at Charlie Foxtrot models, and eBay. The outbuildings, Greenhouse, and the tractor are just a straightforward paint job, whereas the bigger buildings have been upgraded with filler, cardboard, and coffee stirrers before painting and weathering.
The high and low walls around the farm are scratch-built by me.
The farm buildings and base I got the idea and was inspired by the excellent model made by Joe Bilton. Check out his work in the last couple of issues of WSS magazine or you can see his work on Twitter.
Cheers,
Pat.
Crackin looking buildings Pat.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray, glad you like them.
DeleteLove em all, especially the Charlie Foxtrot duo. Good to see you're still working away to the hobby Pat.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dai, I'm still working away, just not posting as often on the blog.

DeleteGreat job on these MDF kits. I fail to see how these are WIP.
ReplyDeleteSarissa kits I find are OK, a good place to start but need some effort to look good. I really like stuff from Charlie Foxtrot. 😀
Thanks Stew. My apologies with the title, it started off as NAP WIP 1 for my next project but the theme has branched out from NW Europe 1815 to include 1940 and as there was no NAPS in post 9, it is just called WIP 9. This is more of a reference for me as it is as a post title for the blog reader, so sorry for any confusion. These MDF buildings are not WIP, they are at the finished stage.
DeleteLovely buildings, Pat! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Tamsin.
DeleteSplendid collection of buildings, love the church and the outbuildings!

DeleteTnat's a splendid set up...you wouldn't know they were mdf.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim, MDF kits are a great starting point and doesn't take a lot to upgrade them.
DeleteLovely work Pat, good to see you keep yourself busy.

Thanks John, the joys of our hobby and retirement.
ReplyDeleteSuperb work as always Pat, with plenty of ideas and inspiration there:).
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Steve.
DeleteVery nice work indeed.
ReplyDeleteCheers Kym.
DeleteMore outstanding work on those buildings...they don't even look like mdf kits once your through with them! On a side note, Norton got excited when I came to your site today, flagging it as red, must be due to your stellar offerings!
ReplyDeleteThanks Terry. I am getting a couple of Spam comments on a daily basis, so I will shut down the comments section until my next post.
