Empress Miniatures British Infantry from their 'Modern Range'. As always, fantastic sculpts and a joy to paint. (Apart from the camo being a bit of a bugger)
This is the first five packs of Brits and Empress have just added a sixth pack to the range which I will pick up at Salute along with some of their other stuff.
Here they are all together, I need a couple of more packs to make up a platoon, along with some vehicles.
I have painted the figures mostly in the new Multi Terrain Pattern (MTP) camo, with a few bits still in their Desert camo.
I searched the web and copied ideas from other bloggers for this along with studying pictures to try and get the look right for the camo but it is not the easiest of things to paint.
Basecoat - Foundry Rawhide
Wash - Raw Umber
Base coat - Foundry Rawhide, leaving dark recesses.
Large horizontal patterns - Vallejo English Uniform, then Foundry phlegm green 28c
Small patterns - dark brown, olive green and Iraqui sand.
Glaze over the camo with Foundry Rawhide.
As always Pat really super work!

Excellent painting. They look Sooooo much better than the casting_ much more lifelike and not at all 'wooden'.

Thanks once again chaps.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Pat.
Brilliant work and attention to detail. I love the Light Greens in the MTP. Ive also noticed that the MTP comes in different shade of either Lighter MTP and a darker version. A more Green version.
