Renedra & Perry Miniatures Plastic Buildings

I recently finished painting and basing the Ramshackle Barn from Perry Miniatures. This plastic building has loads of detail and can cover a large time period.

I have started working on yet another project which is turning out really well and I am quite excited about. When I have finished painting the first batch of figures, I will post pictures of them and the appropriate buildings. I am not going to let the cat out of the bag just yet but it is a period (theatre) and scale that I had never really considered before.
Cheers,
Pat.

    2. Thanks!

Is there any chance of a "how to make plastic buildings look like old weathered wood" painting tutorial?

    3. Rob,
The barn was painted dark brown, then heavy drybrush with dark grey, followed by a light brush of midstone.
The cartwheel and ladder was painted dark brown, drybrushed with a lighter brown, followed by a very light brush of midstone.
These were household paints from a builders merchants.
      Cheers,
      Pat.

  11. Those are really very well done, Pat. Putting the buildings on those hand-made bases really brings them alive.

Curious about the new period. How is Guilford Courthouse going?

    Best wishes

    1. Thanks again chaps.
Giles, the new period or should I say theatre is not a big project time wise, so shouldn't eat into my Guilford Courthouse project too much. I already have the Courthouse and Hoskins farmhouse painted, so they will be coming up in a future post.
      Cheers,
      Pat.

  12. Fantastic looking models. Placing the barn at an angle on the base makes it 'pop out' on the table, very nice.
